The National Sports Council (NSC) has recalled Gunjan Shah Thakuri, whom it had nominated as a member of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), less than a month after his appointment.
Thakuri was recalled through a decision made at the member-secretary level on Wednesday.
The NSC had nominated Thakuri as a CAN member on September 17.
Chapter 2, Section 3, Subsection (4) of the Cricket Association of Nepal Statute, 1998, provides for the NSC to nominate an ex-officio member to the association. Thakuri had been appointed under this provision.
However, the council has now withdrawn the nomination within a month of making it.
